Listening To FIFA Rules For GBK Stadium Ahead Of The 2023 U-20 World Cup

YOGYAKARTA - Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium has been widely discussed in recent times after being used as a meeting place for Jokowi volunteers entitled Nusantara Bersatu. GBK Stadium has even become a trending topic on Twitter with the hashtag #lancanaGBK.

Warganet questioned the licensing for the use of the GBK Stadium ahead of the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia. Previously, the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali stated that the stadium could not be used for any events.

The GBK Stadium will be the location for the U-20 World Cup which will be held from May 20 to June 11, 2023. So what are the FIFA rules regarding the conditioning and use of GBK?

FIFA Rules for GBK Stadium

Implementation of the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Indonesia

Indonesia will host the 2023 U-20 World Cup which will be held on May 20--June 11, 2023. The matches will be held in six cities, namely Jakarta, Palembang, Bandung, Bali, Surabaya, and Solo. The six stadiums set by FIFA for U-20, namely Gelora Bung Karno, Jakabaring, Si Jalak Harupat, Captain I Wayan Dipta, Gelora Bung Tomo, and Manahan.
