JAKARTA - The talent search event for surf athlete, Rip Curl GromSearch, is back on track after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This surfing competition will be held on October 29-30, 2022 at Halfway Beach Kuta, Bali.
Rip Curl GromSearch is a competition around the world designed specifically for surfers aged 16 years and under, commonly called 'grommets'.
"Finally after two years, we are very excited to start the 2022 GromSearch surfing competition in collaboration with the Halfway Kuta Boardriders and presented by the Indonesian Ocean. Halfway Kuta Beach has quite consistent and clean waves," said Marketing Manager Rip Curl Indonesia, Gamelia Carbery.

The former finalists of Rip Curl GromSearch Indonesia include Garut Widiarta, Ketut Agus, Ryuki Waida and Taina Izquierdo.
Rip Curl GromSearch has grown into an international series for surf athletes aged 16 and under worldwide. With parallel series in more than 10 countries, this event has been an important stepping stone in the development of elite junior surfers.
