Put Aside The Euphoria Winning In Australia, Alex Rins Is The Champion Again In MotoGP Malaysia

JAKARTA - Alex Rins does not want to be dissolved in the euphoria after winning in Australia's MotoGP last weekend. The Suzuki Ecstar driver chose to refocus on aiming for victory in MotoGP Malaysia at the Sepang Circuit, October 23.

At the Australian MotoGP event at the Phillip Island Circuit, last Sunday, October 19, Rins came out as the fastest outperforming Repsol Honda's riders, Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo.

This achievement is a very sweet result for Rins and the Suzuki factory team. The reason is, not only was it a win for Rins, but also the first for Suzuki this season.

The 26-year-old admitted that he was still very happy to win in the 2022 Australian MotoGP.

I still enjoy the happiness of the last race. It's been fun celebrating the win with my team again after a long time, and the Australian Grand Prix will stay in my heart," Rins said on Suzuki's official website on Thursday.

Even so, Rins didn't want to be too late. Because this time the focus is on the Malaysian MotoGP which will take place at the Sepang Circuit.

Rins said, the Sepang Circuit is one of the circuits that is difficult to beat. Even so, the tandem from Joan Mir remains confident and hopes to achieve sweet results like what he got in Australia.

"But now it's time to move to Malaysia. Sepang has always been a challenge, especially when it rains. But with myself and my motorbike, I feel good. I hope (get) another strong result this Sunday," he said.
