Not Agreeing On Sinar Rights, Davis Vs Gervonta Duel Ryan Garcia Is Still Negotiated

JAKARTA - Although there is a lot of talk about the possibility of a fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta "Tank" Davis, in reality there are still some details to be done before the two fighters actually have fistfights in the ring.

Recently, president of Showtime Boxing Stephen Espinoza revealed about the process of negotiating the fight between the two boxers, and indicated that it was very close to being resolved.

"I think it's also very close," Espinoza told Town Bizznizz about the possibility of a fight between Gervonta and Garcia.

"We have a large deal. There are some details to be completed."

Regarding television broadcasts still has to be agreed upon. Our position is very clear, and we will see what everyone says, but in terms of fighters, Ryan wants his next fight, and Tank wants his next fight.

"None of them saw another fight."

Garcia was represented by the Golden Boy Promotion while Tank was part of Mayweather's Promotion, so the fight between the two fighters was broadcast on different platforms.

Ryan's fight was broadcast on the DAZN streaming service, while Gervonta fought by pay-per-view on Showtime Boxing.

Showtime previously wanted to run the show pay-per-view on its platform, but DAZN asked him to pay per broadcast together. "This situation is what SHOWtime wants to avoid," said Izquierdazo.

Both Ryan and Gervonta are currently considered the two most talented American boxers, and so far in 2022, the Baltimore native has only had one fight under his belt, a knockout victory over Rolly Romero.

Meanwhile, King Ryan has stepped into the ring twice this year, beating Emmanuel Tagoe by unanimous decision and beating Javier Fortuna.

The former Canelo team member initially said he would not return to 135 pounds, but changed his mind when Floyd Mayweather indicated that Davis would not rise to 140 pounds.
