PSSI Affirms Serdy Fano And Mochamad Yudha Are No Longer Part Of The U-19 National Team

JAKARTA - PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan confirmed that Serdy Ephy Fano and Mochamad Yudha were no longer part of the U-19 national team after their video was in a viral discotheque in cyberspace.

Quoted by Antara from the official website of PSSI in Jakarta, Friday, this step was a continuation of coach Shin Tae-yong's decision to cross out their names at the end of November 2020 because of discipline.

"They have been dropped and are no longer part of the U-19 national team. This is a warning for all players to be more disciplined," said Iriawan.

Serdhy and Yudha were initially sent home from the U-19 national team training camp starting Monday, November 23 because they were proven to have made several mistakes, namely being late in training, not weighing their bodies and returning to the hotel around 02.30 WIB.

However, the problem did not end there because, on Thursday, a video showing Serdhy and Yudha at a nightclub was spread over the internet.

PSSI strongly suspected that the video was recorded on the evening of Sunday, November 22. Based on CCTV footage, the two players returned to the hotel on Monday the next day at 02.30 WIB.

As a result of the video, in addition to being kicked out of the U-19 national team, Serdy will certainly be sanctioned by his club Bhayangkara FC.

For Serdy, this is the second time he has had a problem with the U-19 national team. Previously, ahead of his departure for Croatia at the end of August 2020, the attacking player was thrown out of the team because he was late for training.

Meanwhile for Yudha, who participated in the U-19 national team TC in Croatia, returning home was the first experience. The left-back who has played for the U-16 national team, U-19 national team and the Garuda Select team in England was previously clean from disciplinary violations.

The U-19 national team itself is currently undergoing TC in Jakarta to prepare for the U-19 Asian Cup and U-20 World Cup in 2021.

The plan is for the TC, whose series of activities began on November 13, 2020, until they leave for overseas to continue training.
