JAKARTA - Indonesian tennis player Priska Madelyn Nugroho brought home the women's tour tournament doubles title ITF W60 Jasmin Open Monastir, Tunisia, after successfully overthrowing his opponent in the final round which ended Sunday, October 16.

Based on the ITF page, Priska, who is paired with Chinese tennis player Sijia Wei, managed to beat Dutch duo Suzan Lamens/Isabelle Haverlag with 6-3 6-2.

The title was the first in the W60 ITF tournament for Priska. Meanwhile, with Sijia Wei, the title was the third after two W15 wins at the same place.

Overall, the ITF trophy is Priska's seventh collection in 2022, and tenth in his career.

"Monastir, you are always in my heart," Priska said through her social media upload, while thanking her partner Sijia Wei who always made the match on the field fun.

Through the upload on Instagram, Priska also expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Embassy in Tunisia and the Indonesian Ambassador to Tunisia Zuhairi Misrawi who had provided full support during his match at Monastir.

In the tournament, Priska also recorded himself until the quarter-finals of the singles. The 19-year-old had to stop in the top eight after being unable to withstand the onslaught of an experience, Sara Errani from Italy, who had been ranked fifth in the world's singles and first doubles.

Priska's achievements in doubles will make her ranking rise dramatically to around 320 in the world next week. Currently, according to the WTA website, Priska is ranked 421 in the world doubles.
