Real Madrid And Manchester City Qualify For The Champions League Round Of 16, Who Following?

JAKARTA Real Madrid and Manchester City have confirmed themselves to qualify for the last 16 of the 2022/2023 European Champions League after completing the fourth match of the group phase.

City qualified after playing without a goal against hosts Copenhagen at Parken Stadium on Tuesday, October 11 evening. Madrid then followed early this morning after getting a 1-1 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk's headquarters.

An additional point makes City occupy the top position in Group G. Pep Guardiola's team collects ten points, followed by Borussia Dortmund in second place with seven points.

Meanwhile, Copenhagen is still caretaker of the standings with a collection of two points, the same number of points Sevilla has in third place. Both teams can still compete with Dortmund to win tickets to the next round.

Madrid also qualified after collecting the same points as City from four matches that have been played. Carlo Ancelotti's team top the Group F standings, followed by RB Leipzig with six points in second place.

In this group, the Celtic have been confirmed to have been eliminated from the Champions League because they have only collected one point. One ticket remaining will be won by Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk.
