Bellingham Head Alphonso Davies Was Rushed To The Hospital Because Of Gegar Brain

JAKARTA - Bayern defender Munich Alphonso Davies was rushed to hospital on suspicion of concussion after his head was kicked by an opposing player when Bayern drew 2-2 against hosts Borussia Dortmund on Saturday local time.

Davies left the field in the last minutes of the first half when captain Dortmund's Jude Bellingham's leg accidentally hit the Canadian's cheekbone.

The 21-year-old Davies was seen Limbung and taken straight to the hospital for questioning.

The incident caused debate during and after the match, considering Bellingham, who had already received a yellow card, was not sanctioned by referee Deniz Agatekitn.

"There is an allegation of concussion. It's not surprising given that there was a shot in the face," said Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann who asserted Bellingham should have been sentenced to a red card because the rules state that any contact with the head must at least get a yellow card.

"Four months ago we had training. That's when they told us that the shot to the face was straight on the red card," Nagelsmann told Sky.

Bellingham told German media he plans to contact Davies to check his condition.

"Of course, I never wanted to hurt anyone," Bellingham was quoted as saying by AFP.
