Nick Kyrgios Is Fined Again At The US Open, A Total Of Rp483 Million Has Been Issued

JAKARTA - Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios lost in the quarter-finals of the US Open 2022. He had to admit the superiority of Karen Khachanov.

Khancanov won with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), and 6-4 over the US Open 2022 favorites. This defeat frustrated Kyrgios and disappointed.

As a result, he slammed two of his rackets into the ground of Arthur Ashe Stadium. The rocket was badly damaged.

This action resulted in sanctions. He was fined 14 thousand US dollars or equivalent to Rp208 million.

This is his fifth sanction at the US Open. Previously, he was punished for harsh words and defamation.

In total, the 27-year-old has issued 32,500 US dollars (equivalent to RP483) to pay the fine at the US Open 2022.

It is natural for Kyrgios to be disappointed. He was very confident that he could continue to advance in the Grand Slam tournament in New York.

"It feels like winning everything or not at all, to be honest," said Kyrgios as reported by Antara.

"I feel like a total failure in this tournament. That's what it feels like," continued the runner-up Wimbledon.
