Menpora Supports The Development Of Sport Tourism In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) supports the development of sport tourism in Indonesia. This support cannot be separated from the smooth implementation of the 37th National Sports Day (Haornas) on September 9 which took the theme of recreational sports.

Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali in a coordination meeting with recreational sports stakeholders said that support for sport tourism or recreational sports must continue. Moreover, Indonesia has natural wealth and a creative economy that supports sport tourism.

"Recreational sports must be prepared to support sports tourism, because this has become a theme for Haornas and the MoU has been followed up with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy," Zainudin said in his official statement, Monday, October 26.

The coordination meeting discussed the planning of sports tourism development for 2021. One of the agendas discussed the preparation of norms, standards, procedures and criteria (NSPK). So that the NSPK will regulate the division of authority, be it provincial, city or district governments, so that it is easier to coordinate in carrying out tasks.

"NSPK is very important. Ministry of Home Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs) is waiting. Provincial and district / city (government) are also waiting. Don't blame them if they don't move if there is no NSPK because that is a reference," he explained.

Previously, the Deputy for Sports Culture of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Raden Isnanta, said that the recreation location in Anyer would be selected as a pilot project for sport tourism.

"We deliberately were at the Anyer recreation area with health protocols, as a manifestation of following up on the big theme of Haornas Sports Tourism," he reported.
