Golovkin: I Haven't Watched Bivol's Victory Over Canelo, I Don't Need To Copy Him

JAKARTA -Gennady Golovkin is determined to beat Canelo Alvarez, who came into this duel after a shock loss to Dmitry Bivol.However, the boxer nicknamed GGG did not want to imitate Bivol and claimed he had not even watched the video of a Russian boxer's victory over the Mexican boxer.

"I haven't seen the fight yet, I haven't watched it," Golovkin told Forbes when asked about Canelo versus Bivol.

"The fight shows Canelo can lose without his opponent scoring a KO. I don't think I need to make any drastic changes to my style," GGG was quoted as saying by Marca.

"I don't need to be like Bivol to gain any advantage or advantage over Canelo. This fight will take place in different heavyweights.

I'm sure Canelo will take it more seriously. He's basically going back to reality. My goal is to show my best. I take it very seriously. I worked a lot. I worked hard."

Golovkin was also asked if he would retire after this fight and what his opinion was about his boxing legacy.
