JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali approved the new management of the Indonesian Karate-do Sports Federation (PB Forki). He also hopes that PB Forki can apply sport science in the process of coaching athletes.

"One of the important things in the development of national sports is sports science assistance. The implementation of sport science in the field is still very small, so I hope Forki can maximize sport science for achievement development," said Zainudin in his official statement, Wednesday, November 18.

Where according to Zainudin Amali, the application of sport science is a point in making a national sports grand design which is currently being tested by the public with the Central KONI, NOC, sports stakeholders and academics.

"I also hope that Forki's organizational governance can continue to be improved, even though the organizational governance in Forki is among the best among sports management," he added.

With the new management, Zainudin also hopes that in the future the karate sport can continue to improve its achievements. Therefore, Kemenpora is determined to continue to provide support to Forki.

He reminded that the challenges in the future will be even greater because there are more competing countries. This is not without basis, the proof is that during the 2019 Philippines SEA Games, Indonesia still had to work hard to catch up.

"Kemenpora will always provide support for Forki's plan, of course support in accordance with the rules and capabilities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports," he said.

He explained that Indonesia is currently preparing itself to take part in the bid to host the 2032 Olympics and hopes that later Forki can contribute its best achievements to Indonesia.
