Fury Wants To Pay Rp8.77 Trillion For The Duel Against Usyk: If The Opponent Is Joshua, It's Free!

JAKARTA - After defeating Anthony Joshua in a rematch last weekend, Oleksandr Usyk looks to his next fight against WBC champion Tyson Fury.

The team from Fury claim they are discussing a fight worth more than 100 million euros (Rp1.48 trillion), the amount at stake in the Usyk vs Joshua rematch.

According to the Daily Mail, the grand battle will take place on December 17 in Saudi Arabia, the night before the World Cup final in Qatar.

The question of whether Fury - who announced his retirement from boxing a few weeks ago - will be willing to step into the ring is becoming increasingly clear.

After the Usyk-Joshua fight, Gypsy King announced that he was willing to fight for "a lot of money".

The fighter is now more explicit in a post on his Instagram. He recalls that, as he announced some time ago, his comeback should cost £500 million.

"The biggest fight in the world has to be the biggest money in the world, if I'm going to bet it all against an unknown stranger," Fury wrote.

He even went so far as to say, if Joshua wins against Usyk, then he will fight for free.

"If AJ, definitely free but not," said Fury.

Meanwhile, World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman praised Fury and hoped the fight against Usyk would continue.

"Tyson Fury is the WBC world champion, he doesn't hold the 'other belt', he holds the WBC Championship which is the Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Frazier, Tyson, Lennox Lewis etc," Sulaiman told Sky Sports on Thursday.

"I'm very proud of Tyson Fury, he's an amazing fighter and I'm sure he wants to continue boxing and the fight to unite all the championships in this division will be amazing. We've given Tyson Fury time to evaluate and get ready. to make the right decision and have until this Friday, the 26th, to receive his written confirmation of what he will decide to do.

"But my personal opinion is that boxing is going through a great stage, a great moment, it would be great to see Fury fight Usyk in the final unification of the division."
