JAKARTA - Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen received hundreds of messages containing threats, after being deemed to have provoked Liverpool's Darwin Nunez to a red card.

Through Instagram Story, Andersen showed some of the hundreds of messages that sounded death threats. Not only aimed at him, the threat also stalked his family.

'Got maybe 3-400 messages like this last night. I understand you support a team but have respect and stop being rude online," Andersen wrote at the start of a post that insulted him as quoted by The Sun.

Anderson hopes that the upload can be evidence that will encourage the Premier League to take a firm stance.

As is known, Andersen was involved in a "physical fight" with Darwin Nunez in the Liverpool vs Crystal Palace match. In the match at Anfield Stadium on Tuesday, August 16, Andersen collided with Nunez several times and acted mischievously against the new Reds player.

The peak occurred in the 57th minute. Andersen, who pushed Nunez from behind, immediately received a header from the Uruguayan. Andersen fell and Nunez got a red card.

After pocketing a red card, Nunez was banned for three matches while adding to the list of Liverpool forwards who could not be played following the injured Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.

Regarding this incident, instead of attacking Andersen, a number of Liverpool players and managers advised Nunez to get used to the sneaky style of play in the Premier League.
