Persib Bandung Wins First Victory In Liga 1 2022/2023, Interim Coach: Still Needs Evaluation

BANDUNG - Persib Bandung finally got their first win in Liga 1 2022/2023. Entertaining PSIS Semarang at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Maung Bandung won with a score of 2-1.

Persib took the lead through David da Silva's goal in the 25th minute. The Brazilian player managed to fulfill his duty as a penalty executor.

In the 31st minute, PSIS Semarang was able to equalize. Taisei Marukawa successfully listed his name on the scoreboard.

Da Silva scored Persib's winning goal in the 66th minute. Until the game ended, the position 2-1 for the hosts did not change.

Persib Bandung interim coach, Budiman Yunus, seems not satisfied with this victory. He considered, the game Maung Bandung squad still needs to be evaluated.

According to him the players were caught off guard after winning one goal. "This has to be fixed. In the future, this will be a program material for me so that such a situation doesn't happen again," he said after the match, as quoted by Antara.

"The kids sometimes forget when they win. But in the second half the players can get out of that pressure and can bring out all their abilities," he continued.

Budiman then revealed that the key strategy that could bring Persib to three points was to include Dedi Kusnandar and change the position of Rachmat Irianto.

Apart from Marukawa who was successfully blocked by Irianto, according to him, Dedi Kusnandar also played quite well in midfield. So that the strategy according to him is running according to his expectations.

"He can control the midfield both defensively and attacking, grabbing and releasing the ball is also good," said the temporary coach of Persib Bandung.
