The Legend Of PSMS Medan Parlin Siagian Passed Away

JAKARTA - Former PSMS Medan legend Parlin Siagian passed away on Monday, at around 12.00 WIB, after previously receiving treatment at Elisabeth Medan Hospital.

"Yes this afternoon around 12.00 WIB, he died," said PSMS Medan General Secretary Julius Raja in Medan.

He said that his party also felt that he had lost one of the figures who contributed to the big name of PSMS when he was still in the era of the union and for that management also offered prayers to the deceased.

"Hopefully, his acts of worship will be accepted by God and all his sins will be forgiven. The doors of heaven will be opened. May the family endure this tragedy. Amen," he said.

Parlin Siagian is not only known as a sharp striker, but also specializes in "banana kicks" that are accurate and often break into the opponent's goal.

In fact, Parlin has also succeeded in becoming a coach and several times brought his club to win competitions, including PSMS Medan.

Parlin joined PSMS Medan in 1971 and became a young player and joined great players such as Wibisono, Zulkarnaen Pasaribu, Tumsila, and Yuswardi.

Joining for his first career with PSMS, Parlin and his contemporaries such as Nobon, Taufik Lubis and Sarman Pangabean, they won the 1971 United Association.

In 1975, Parlin again brought PSMS Medan to win the United Cup after a 1-1 draw and won together with the Persija Jakarta team.

Parlin was the only contributor to the goal in the final between the two teams.
