British MotoGP Results: Francesco Bagnaia Leads Factory Ducati Team To Champion At Silverstone

JAKARTA – The Italian racer who defended the factory Ducati team, Francesco Bagnaia, managed to win the British MotoGP series, which was held at the Siverstone Circuit on Sunday 7 August 2022.

Throughout the race, Bagnaia, who started from grid 5, was in close competition with his teammates, Jac Miller (Australia) and Alex Rins (Suzuki). Until the 12th lap out of a total of 20 laps, Bagnaia was still in second position behind Rins.

But on lap 13, Bagnaia managed to overtake Rins and lead the race. The 25-year-old Italian racer was not overtaken until he entered the finish line.

Miller, who started from grid 3 and desperately kept his position in front, finished third. While the British MotoGP runner up was occupied by the Aprilia team racer, Maverick Vinales from Spain.

The reigning MotoGP champion, Fabio Quartararo, was only able to finish in eighth place. Despite winning, Bagnaia has not been able to seize Quartararo's position at the top of the standings. Bagnaia is currently ranked third in the MotoGP rider standings with a value of 50.
