JAKARTA - The match between the Indonesian U-16 National Team versus the Philippines at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Sunday, July 31, was seen to be empty of spectators. Support from supporters for the Milky Way troops is still considered very lacking.

Between launches, there were about 1,400 spectators present at the Maguwoharjo Stadium which has a capacity of 32 thousand people. According to the General Chairperson of PSSI, Mochammad Iriawan, that number is quite a lot for the U-16 national team level.

"That amount for the U-16 national team is extraordinary. Thank you for the supporters who have come, thank you for the support," said Iriawan as quoted by Antara.

The man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule believes that the number of spectators for the U-16 National Team in the 2022 AFF Cup will increase. He considered, the fans would flock to the stadium after watching the first match.

"Because they have watched it on television, the audience must also want to see it directly on the field. Especially if you judge that the children's game is quite good," he said.

However, the PSSI chairman acknowledged that the performance of the team, dubbed Garuda Asia, needed to be evaluated. According to him, there are still many shortcomings that must be addressed.

Iwan Bule saw that the players still like to make blunders, unnecessary movements and lack of finishing.

"Then the physical players are not optimal. I ask for it to be improved," he said.

"I ordered the Technical Director of PSSI to communicate with the coach of the U-16 Bima Sakti National Team. There are still many shortcomings that must be corrected," continued the PSSI Ketum.
