Bhayangkara FC Faces Club Ivory Marten, Youssef Ezzejjari Promises Not To Celebrate If His Ex Breaks

JAKARTA - Bhayangkara FC will face Persik Kediri in the 2022/2023 Liga 1 continuation at the Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, Sunday, July 31.

This will be an emotional match for Bhayangkara FC striker Yousef Ezzejjari. Understandably, the Gading Marten club was the team he defended last season.

Ezzejjari has sweet memories with Persik. From a total of 32 appearances, he was able to score 19 goals in his debut in the Indonesian League.

He said he was happy to finally meet his former club. There is still respect for the club and for the fans. For that, he promised not to celebrate if he later broke into Persik Kediri's goal.

"I respect myself, I love the city, I love everyone there, of course not (to celebrate)," Ezzejjari told the club's official website.

Responding to the lack of progress of the striker, the coach of Bhayangkara FC, Widodo C Putro, was calm. He considered, in football the focus is not on who the goalscorer is.

"In my opinion, football is not who scores goals, but how this team can win the game," said Widodo.

"Maybe because they saw Ezze (Ezzejjari) used to be the top scorer, people saw that Bhayangkara FC's front line was not sharp," continued the Bhayangkara FC coach.
