Persikabo Wants To Make Persebaya Surabaya's Trip To Bogor End In Vain

JAKARTA - Persikabo 1973 will face Persebaya Surabaya in their inaugural match in Liga 1 2022/2023. at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency, West Java, Monday, July 25.

Persikabo 1973 is clearly targeting full points at home. Djajang Nurdjaman's troops wanted to make Persebaya return to Surabaya empty-handed.

"We want to get full points, because it will determine the next step. The first game of a competition will be very, very decisive," said the Persikabo coach, as reported by Antara, Sunday, July 24.

According to him, the opening match will psychologically affect Persikabo players in their next matches. Moreover, they will act as hosts.

"Apart from the opponent Persebaya is a team with a big name," said Djajang.

One of Persikabo's players, Gilang Ginarsa, admitted that he had high optimism ahead of the match against Persebaya. Gilang also hopes for support from the people of Bogor in the match which will be held at 20.30 WIB.

"Persebaya is a big team filled with potential young players. We play at home hoping to get three points. So we can't be careless so we can navigate the league smoothly," said Gilang.
