Happy First Days At Chelsea, Kalidou Koulibaly: Very Happy To Work Under Tuchel

JAKARTA - Kalidou Koulibaly admitted to enjoying his first days after officially becoming part of Chelsea. Moreover, his move to his new club was asked directly by the coach, Thomas Tuchel.

Quoted from Tribal Football, Wednesday, Senegalese player Koulibaly said Tuchel contacted him directly before he decided to move to Stamford Bridge. Tuchel also told him what he needed from Koulibaly's abilities.

The way Tuchel communicated with him was recognized by Koulibaly, which made him immediately agree. The move to Chelsea also makes Koulibaly happy because he can work directly with Tuchel.

"After (moving) here, I am very happy to work under him (Thomas Tuchel). I have known him since his days in Paris as PSG coach, and he called me directly to ask if I wanted to come to Chelsea, and of course the answer was yes,'' Koulibaly said, quoted by Tribalfootball.

Realizing Tuchel is a good coach, the player who was once targeted by Manchester United said he couldn't wait to work with him. Having officially signed from Napoli last week, Koulibaly has now joined his new team-mates on a pre-season tour of the United States.

He hopes to give his experience to everyone to help the club, especially the young players. This time, he wants to study in the English Premier League, which is one of the best leagues in the world.

"I know that the Premier League is very fast and physically demanding, but also tactical. So it's something I have to adapt to quickly and to improve myself to be the player the coach wants me to be. I will give everything that is needed by the team,''he said when he officially became part of the Blues.
