JAKARTA - UFC president Dana White has told TMZ Sports that he will not arrange any fights for Conor McGregor until the Irishman has fully recovered from his injury.

"When he's 100 per cent ready then I'll start thinking about him and who he's up against," White said.

"Not until everything is clear and has a date that he can start training."

Previously, American fighter Michael Chandler claimed the fight between him and McGregor should be considered the biggest potential fight in MMA (mix martial arts).

However, after sustaining a serious injury, McGregor is not expected to return to action until the first half of the new calendar year.

He hasn't set foot in the ring since July 2021, when he broke his leg in a duel with Dustin Poirier.

"If Conor returns anytime soon, I think Conor and I are going to have a blast and this is a fight that fans want to see," Chandler said.

“I think this is the biggest fight we can do in mixed martial arts right now and I try to put it as low as possible, but I think it's a big fight.

"(UFC) and the lightweight division were better when Conor McGregor was a part of it, but because of that, he has to come back at the right time."
