Pique Rejects Offers Of Separation Agreement And Million Dollar Debt Payment Assistance From Shakira, Prestige?

JAKARTA - Barcelona defender Gerard Pique turned down a generous offer from Shakira in an attempt to finalize the terms of their separation.

Pique and Shakira have been stealing the headlines for weeks, and now, the two are at a stage to uncover the finer details of their future lives.

After 12 years together, and having two children, it was time to figure out how to continue living as co-parents, as well as reach consensus on certain financial issues.

According to the YouTube show 'Chism No Like', Shakira has made a spectacular million-dollar offer to Pique, which the Catalan man sensationally turned down as his team of lawyers worked on a counter-proposal.

Shakira is said to have offered to take full responsibility for their two children, Sasha and Milan, who she plans to move with her to Miami.

Pique will have no financial responsibility for the children and, what's more, Shakira will even pay Pique to make first-class trips to Miami five times per year for visits.

On top of those five visits, the Colombian singer suggested that Sasha and Milan spend the summer with their father.

It's possible that all of this, while generous financially, will seem like Pique's time with his kids is very little.

The most significant part of Shakira's proposal, however, is that she has offered to cover 20 per cent of the footballer's debt - about $2.5 million - which she has paid due to legal problems in Spain.

Pique's reaction

For now, Pique rejected all of these proposals. Allegedly, not because of prestige but because of their children.

It is believed that both parties will work hard to find a mutually agreed solution as soon as possible.

It was previously reported that Pique would oppose Shakira's attempts to bring their children to Miami.

Last month, she reportedly took legal steps to prevent Shakira's attempts, so it's likely that custody of the children will be at the forefront of their negotiations.
