Malaysia Masters 2022 Rolls Out Tomorrow: These Are The Rows Of Indonesian Representatives Who Are Ready For Action

JAKARTA – The Malaysia Masters 2022 badminton tournament will run from July 5 to July 10. Indonesian representatives also took part in the Super 500 level event.

This event will take place at the same place as the Malaysia Open 2022 which just finished last weekend, namely Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

Several Indonesian representatives who previously appeared at the Malaysia Open also participated in this event. In the men's singles, there are names such as Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jonatan Christie, Tommy Sugiarto, and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito.

However, the last name is unlikely to appear. The reason is, he just suffered an injury in the calf when he appeared against Kento Momota in the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Open last week.

From the women's singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung is still the only representative who is Indonesia's mainstay. However, Gregoria immediately got a tough test because he met Spanish fifth seed Carolina Marin.

While in the men's doubles, Indonesia was represented by Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin.

The last name is also unlikely to appear in this event. The pair previously also missed the Malaysia Open due to an injury Leo picked up in training.

Indonesia's men's doubles cannot be strengthened by Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon. This pair was sidelined because Marcus is still in the process of recovering from surgery despite having tried to appear at the Indonesia Open and Masters in early June.

In the women's doubles, Indonesia was strengthened by the pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Febby Valencia Dwijayanti/Ribka Sugiarto, and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahya Pratiwi, who fought from qualification.

Indonesia's main hope in this number is clearly in the hands of Apriyani/Fadia. This pair just came out as Malaysia Open 2022 champions so the chances of them continuing that success are quite high.

From the mixed doubles, Indonesia will field Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti, Hafiz Faizal/Serena Kani, Adnan Maulana/Mychelle Crhystine Bandoso, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
