Shin Tae-yong Appoints 28 Players For 2022 AFF U-19 Cup, Here's The List

JAKARTA - The coach of the U-19 Indonesia national team, Shin Tae-yong, has appointed 28 names to be part of the Garuda Muda squad in the 2022 AFF U-19 Cup.

Before narrowing down the names of 28 players, the South Korean coach had called 30 names. However, two of them were not included in the coach's list, they were Alex Kamuru from Barito Putera and Althaf Indie from Persis Solo.

Of the 28 players who have been retained by Shin Tae-yong, famous names such as Ronaldo Kwateh and Marselino Ferdinand are still trusted by the coach. Despite having chosen a number of names, in fact Shin Tae-yong could only include 23 players in the line-up for AFF U-19 2022.

Despite having to keep sorting, this is an important concern for Shin Tae-yong. Because the players he chooses are chosen people who are expected to be able to realize their target so that the national team can win the title.

Moreover, the last time the U-19 national team won the tournament between Southeast Asian countries was in 2013, about 9 years ago.
