Challenged By Ronda Rousey, Gina Carano Immediately Responds: It Will Happen 6 Months From Now

JAKARTA - Gina Carano has not been in the UFC ring for more than a decade. However, he did not rule out returning to the match if his opponent was Ronda Rousey.

Carano, who is a former star of Strikeforce and Elite XC, is back discussing the fight. That's because Rousey recently said Carano was the only fighter who could bring her out of retirement after her last UFC fight in 2016.

"You know what? Never forget me," Carano said when asked about Rousey on FOX News.

"It (the match) is possible. It will be six months from now because I have a lot to do."

Regarding his career in the ring, Carano never actually officially declared retirement. Although the last time he lost by TKO in the first round was against Cris Cyborg at Strikeforce in 2009.

That fight was Carano's last fight, as after that she focused on her acting career and landed several important roles in films such as Haywire, Fast and Furious 6 and Deadpool.

In recent years, Carano also landed the role she always played in the Disney+ series, Star Wars The Mandalorian until she made controversial comments on social media which eventually led to her firing from the show.

In 2014, the UFC again pursued Carano to join the organization that took advantage of the match against Rousey in the ring. But the two sides never reached an agreement.

Two years later, Rousey suffered back-to-back losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. That moment saw Rousey leave the UFC for a new career at World Wrestling Entertainment.

Rousey, currently a top star and women's champion at WWE, said the chance to face Carano could pull her back into the Octagon.

"I'll fight Gina wherever she wants," Rousey told Kurt Angle on her podcast.

“Even if he doesn't want it forever, leave the offer there. It's a respectful thing, not like, 'Fuck you. I came to get you.' It's like, 'Hey, if you want to get that card out, it's right there.' I love her. Thank you Gina for everything you've done," he said.
