Cool! Indonesia Opens The Gates For Young Riders To MotoGP, Starting Next July 16

JAKARTA - There is good news for young Indonesian riders who dream of appearing in MotoGP. The initial gate to the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event has opened in the country.

Sport Talenta Indonesia, fronted by two former top national racers, Harlan Fadhilah and Doni Tata Pradipta, will hold the 2022 FIM MiniGP race. This race will be held in six series at the Sentul International Karting Circuit, Bogor, West Java, from 16 July to 25 September .

Doni Tata as the Technical Manager of Sport Talenta Indonesia said, MiniGP is a place for nurturing young Indonesian talents aged 10-14 years. For this year, there are about 40 racers who participated in the selection session.

Later, there will be 15 best young riders who will compete in the FIM MiniGP Indonesia Series 2022. The two best riders will be flown to Valencia, Spain, to take part in the final round.

"This is the first year of MiniGP in Indonesia and will be a good start to change the riding style from underbone to MiniGP," said Doni Tata, as quoted by Antara.

"The level is very clear. The best racer in the Valencia MiniGP can go to the next level. It can be the Asia Talent Cup or the Red Bull Rookies Cup. This is the path for young Indonesian riders to reach the world stage," he continued.

The following is the schedule for the FIM MiniGP Indonesia Series 2022 at the International Karting Circuit, Bogor, West Java:
