JAKARTA - UFC President Dana White confirmed the status of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the new home of the UFC. He stated his commitment to continue holding international battles in Abu Dhabi.

Meanwhile, White expressed his gratitude for being allowed to stage two fights this year on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi despite the threat of COVID-19.

While on a tour of the Etihad Arena on Yas Island, White said he was impressed by the facilities at the arena with a capacity of 18,000 spectators, which are expected to open soon.

“I have seen every arena in the world. Etihad Arena goes beyond expectations. I look forward to having an event here, ”said White quoted by the Khaleej Times.

UFC is expected to be held again in Abu Dhabi in late January or early February next year.
