Bima Sakti Doesn't Want To Make Fatigue As A Scapegoat For The Defeat Of The U-16 National Team From The UAE

JAKARTA - The coach of the U-16 Indonesia national team Bima Sakti was not disappointed even though his squad lost 2-3 to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a trial match in Dubai, Wednesday, October 21 evening WIB.

"The team showed a lot of progress, starting from the game, chemistry between players, tactics during defense to the transition," Bima said, as quoted by Antara, Thursday.

According to him, his foster children have shown hard work even though they are still tired because they just arrived in the UAE on Monday (19/10) evening local time and arrived at the inn on Tuesday (20/10) in the morning.

Bima himself was reluctant to point to fatigue as the reason for his squad surrendering from the UAE.

"The problem of fatigue is not a scapegoat. But for sure, we have to do an evaluation, especially for the performance of the back line," said the Indonesian national team tactician at the 2018 AFF Cup.

Bima considered, when facing the UAE, the distance between the U-16 national team lines widened in the final 15 minutes of the match so that the opponent could use it to score goals.

"There are some players who lack focus, but in general the players have given their best," said Bima.

The U-16 national team (national team) was defeated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a score of 2-3 in a trial match at the UAE FA Stadium, Dubai, Wednesday (21/10).

Two Indonesian goals were scored by Raka Cahyana Rizky and Ahmad Attalah Araihan, while the three UAE goals were scored by Sultan Adel Muhammad.

The U-16 national team has the opportunity to avenge that defeat, because the two teams will meet again in the same place on October 24, 2020.

The training camp (TC) and trials are Indonesia's preparations for the U-16 Asian Cup which will take place in early 2021 in Bahrain.
