JAKARTA - Two young badminton players fostered by Marcus Fernaldi Gideon's academy will compete in the Turkey Junior Championship 2022. They are Muhammad Ibrahimnauvic R. Sopyan and Ardini Cantika Putri.

The tickets to appear at the international event were obtained after the two Indihome Gideon Badminton Academy (IGBA) players won The Second Pulau Intan Home Tournament Single Junior U-17 South Jakarta Region 2022. The tournament was held on 21-22 May.

Ibrahimnauvic and Ardini set aside dozens of participants who took part in the tournament. Including three other IGBA coached players, namely Kevin F Santoso, Hamidah Jani Munifah, and Malyaraisa Andaradigdo.

In that tournament, Kevin was ranked third in the men's singles number. Meanwhile, Hamidah lost to Ardini in the final. While Malyaraisa occupied the fourth position in the women's singles category.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Turkey Junior Championship will be held in July. Apart from Ibrahimnauvic and Ardini, reportedly there are also several young players who will represent Indonesia.

BWF and PBSI still open opportunities for young athletes who want to take part in the Turkey Junior Championship 2022. According to the BWF website, player registration will close on 21 July.

This Turkey Junior tournament will play five numbers. In addition to the men's and women's singles, there are also men's and women's doubles and mixed cadets.
