Ahead Of The Third Series Of ARRC 2022 Race At Malaysia's Sepang Circuit, Gerry Salim Wants To Steal Knowledge From His Teammates

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Gerry Salim, is enthusiastic about welcoming the second series of the 2022 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) at the Sepang Circuit Malaysia, this weekend. He admitted that he was ready to steal knowledge from his teammate, Zaqhwan Zaidi, who came from a neighboring country.

Gerry Salim, who defended Honda Asia-Dream Racing in the ASB1000 class, said he was ready to improve his performance after appearing less convincing in the first series.

"My challenge for the second round is to cut less often with the riders in the front group," said Gerry Salim on the official Asia Road Racing website.

"I intend to take some hints from my teammate Zaqhwan who is more familiar and experienced with this circuit. I hope to improve my performance in the second round," he continued.

In the first series which took place at Chang Buriram Circuit, Thailand, Gerry Salim was less than impressive. He only finished 8th and 9th in the first and second races.

He admitted, it was not a satisfying race. At that time, the racer who had tasted racing in Europe had problems with his Honda CBR1000RR R motorcycle setting.

Honda Dream Asia team manager, Makoto Tamada said, his team was working on motorcycle settings that could improve the performance of the racers. Safety is the top priority, while the motor speed will be pursued according to the target.

"Our strategy is designed to improve our riders and to achieve the best results. We will develop further strategies after receiving the relevant data," he said.
