JAKARTA - Persija goalkeeper and captain Andritany Ardhiyasa is eager to return to the Indonesian national team after he last strengthened the Garuda squad in 2019.

"Honestly, I still have that desire. But it all starts with performances at the club," Andritany said as quoted by Antara, Thursday.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper is also determined to perform well with Persija throughout the 2022-2023 season to get the attention of the national team coach Shin Tae-yong.

Shin himself is preparing the "Garuda" squad to face several international tournaments.

Nearby are the FIFA international friendly match against Bangladesh, Wednesday, 1 June at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung, and the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers on 8-14 June 2022 in Kuwait.

However, there is no name Andritany in the list of 29 players called by Shin to undergo the competition.

Andritany Ardhiyasa has been strengthening the Indonesian national team since 2014.
