Alex Rins Cries Knowing Suzuki Is Leaving MotoGP: I'm So Devastated

JAKARTA - Alex Rins expressed his feelings when he was told about Suzuki's decision to withdraw from MotoGP. He said he was so devastated that he burst into tears.

The Spaniard can imagine the struggles he has gone through with Suzuki since joining in 2017. He has given a lot to the Japanese factory team.

"I sat in the office and felt a very bad feeling. To be honest, when they told me, I was devastated," said Rins, as reported by Speedweek.

Actually, not only Rins felt sad, but also the mechanics. He said there were some mechanics who were under pressure from Suzuki's decision. However, there are those who remain strong.

"That's normal. They did a pretty good job and I want to thank them for that. Because it's not easy," said the 26-year-old rider.

"When you have nothing for next year, it's easy to lose confidence and motivation. However, they are still quite motivated," he continued.

Alex Rins himself is still quite optimistic about the rest of the 2022 MotoGP season. The target is to give the best for Suzuki.

Regarding next season, the rider, who has won three MotoGP series throughout his career, does not know which team he will defend yet. However, he has been linked with several teams, such as KTM and Aprilia.
