Suzuki Leaves MotoGP, Alex Rins Has Held Talks With 4 Big Manufacturers

JAKARTA - Suzuki Ecstar racer, Alex Rins, immediately moved quickly after his team decided to withdraw from MotoGP. The Spaniard admitted that he had spoken with a number of other major manufacturers.

Rins confirmed that his manager had held talks with four manufacturers regarding possible seats in MotoGP 2023. The four teams were Aprilia, Honda, KTM and Yamaha, according to the official MotoGP website from Motorsport.

Suzuki's determined decision to withdraw from MotoGP is surprising news for Rins and Joan Mir. Because these two Suzuki riders are in the stage of contract extension which is being discussed by both parties.

Now, the two riders are busy looking for a new team to continue their racing careers in MotoGP.

Not long ago, Repsol Honda boss, Alberto Puig, admitted that he had been contacted by two Suzuki riders. However, he couldn't say for sure.

However, it seems that the choice will fall to Joan Mir. The 2020 MotoGP world champion will fill the position of Pol Espargaro who has been asked to find a new team next season.
