JAKARTA — The Indonesian badminton team for the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi arrived in Vietnam. A total of 30 people in the group including 20 athletes.

They landed in Hanoi on Friday, May 13, and headed straight for the Muong Thanh Grand Hotel, Bac Giang. This hotel will be the team's place to stay during the biennial multi-branch event.

"The journey from the PBSI National Training Center is divided into two groups. The first batch is filled with 21 people, the second batch is nine people. Praise God, all are smooth and healthy," said team manager, Eddy Priyanto, in an official statement received by VOI, Friday.

Upon arrival in Vietnam, all members of the group immediately underwent an antigen test. The test results showed all negative for COVID-19.

Adnan Maulana and his friends will rest after traveling far from Jakarta. They have just started their training activities on Saturday, May 14 tomorrow.

The badminton branch of the SEA Games Vietnam 2021 will begin to be competed on May 16 to 22 at the Bac Giang Gymnasium in Bac Giang Province, Vietnam.
