Harry Maguire Starts Healthy, Will Strengthen MU Against Norwich

JAKARTA - Harry Maguire will strengthen Manchester United when they host Norwich City in the 22nd Premier League match at Old Trafford, Saturday, January 11.

Maguire, who is the world's most expensive defender, injured his hip in last week's FA Cup third round tie against Wolverhampton. He was also absent from the first semi-final of the English League Cup against Manchester City.

Even though Maguire has participated in the training session, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits that he has not made a decision whether to play the England national team defender against Norwich.

"He has a chance to appear tomorrow, we give him a training session and will see if he can get through because the injury is not too bad. We'll see tomorrow," Solskjaer said as quoted by Manchester United's official website.

On the other hand, Manchester United will certainly not be strengthened by Jesse Lingard against Norwich. Lingard is absent because he is still sick.

"Jesse's sickness is getting worse, so he's definitely not playing," he said.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer also provided updates on the recovery of Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah who had suffered from long injuries. They will participate in a practice match with the Manchester United U-23 team who will face Newcastle United.

"Eric and the Team play with the U-23 team. That's a positive thing for those who have waited a long time and started following training sessions, it would be great to see them wearing their uniforms again," he said.

Manchester United will host Norwich with a mission to return to the top five of the standings after being evicted by Sheffield United who played early on Saturday morning WIB.
