Tyson Fury's Wife Says Only Joshua Or Usyk Can Lure Her Husband Out Of Retirement

JAKARTA - Tyson Fury's wife, Paris, says that only a unification fight will stop the heavyweight boxer from retiring.

After beating Dillian White at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, Fury declared his intention to retire. However, Fury's inner circle says he is ready to return on one condition.

"I know in my heart the only reason Tyson will return is for a unification fight," Paris Fury told BT Sport.

"That would be the only excuse because there's nothing left for him."

If the unification bout is going to appeal to Gypsy King, then all eyes are on Oleksandr Usyk who will defend his four heavyweight belts against Anthony Joshua in a rematch later this year.

The winner of that fight could be the one to tempt Fury out of retirement for one final duel and is sure to catch the interest of fans and promoters alike.

Fury's father also made comments showing he couldn't believe his son had hung up the gloves for good.

Boxing legend Lennox Lewis even got into the debate, suggesting that Fury would likely love the chance to become the undisputed champion.

Paris, meanwhile, would be very happy if it were to be the end of her husband's career in the ring, given the stress involved in fighting.

"The world has seen him do quite a lot. He's the best and is proving it again," Paris told TalkSport.

"I didn't enjoy this one, the celebration part was good but the overall build-up and fight was a terrible experience.

"I'd rather have him at home now. He has nothing else to prove in this whole world."

Another attraction for Fury is the chance to battle it out at Old Trafford, home to his beloved Manchester United, which is being touted as the setting for a possible unification fight.
