JAKARTA - The elderly goalkeeper from Italy, Gianluigi Buffon, was urged to retire immediately. The urge came after the former Italy international goalkeeper made a surprising blunder during his team's 1-2 loss to Perugia in Italy's Serie B.

The embarrassing incident occurred in the seventh minute. At that time, Buffon received the ball from Parma's Jayden Ooserwolde. There was no serious pressure received by the former Juventus and PSG goalkeeper.

However, when he was about to give the ball to Enrico Del Prato, Buffon kicked the wind and the ball was easily grabbed by Perugia striker Marco Olivieri.

Buffon tried to run to catch up, but his speed was no longer the same as before. As soon as it appears the age factor has an impact on the goalkeeper's performance.

As is known, Buffon returned to Parma last summer. He has played 25 league games with the club from which he started his career.

Buffon's arrival brings hope to return Parma to Serie A. In fact, now the club he is defending is only able to sit in 13th position in the standings.
