Gabriel Jesus Has Scored Five Goals In Manchester City's Last Two Matches, England Legend Praises

JAKARTA - Gabriel Jesus has shown his sharpness again. The Brazilian player also contributed a goal in Manchester City's 4-3 win over Real Madrid.

He scored one goal in that game. Gabriel Jesus listed his name on the scoreboard in the 11th minute after getting a pass from Kevin de Bruyne.

This is Gabriel Jesus' fifth goal for Manchester City in the last two games. Previously, the former Palmeiras player scored four goals against Watford and brought his team to a 5-1 win.

Gabriel Jesus' splendid performance earned praise from two English legends, Steve McManaman and Rio Ferdinand. Both agreed to assess the 25-year-old player as a complete striker.

"He's like a team player, he plays on the right, on the left, he plays wherever Pep puts him which might hurt him as a typical number nine striker," McManaman said, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

McManaman thinks that Gabriel Jesus should have got the position that was meant for him, namely as the number 9 striker. Not a right or left winger.

The same thought was also conveyed by Rio Ferdinand. He considered Gabriel Jesus to be a hard-working and committed player.

"He scores goals and pulls defenders out of his area to create space for other players," said Rio Ferdinand, quoted by Caughtoffside.

Unfortunately, the fate of Gabriel Jesus at Manchester City is being threatened. Pep Guardiola's club is reportedly planning to sign Erling Haaland.

Gabriel Jesus himself already has plans to leave. He is widely rumored to be moving to Arsenal. A number of clubs outside the English Premier League have also been eyeing his services.
