Being At The Top Of The MotoGP 2022 Standings With Fabio Quartararo, Alex Rins: It's Too Early To Talk About The Championship

JAKARTA - Suzuki Ecstar racer, Alex Rins, made a remarkable achievement in MotoGP Portugal, Sunday, April 24. Starting the race from 23rd place, Rins finally finished the race in fourth place.

Thanks to his achievements in MotoGP Portugal, Alex Rins is now in second place in the drivers' standings with 69 points. He collects the same points as Fabio Quartararo who occupies the top position.

Despite being at the top of the standings, Alex Rins doesn't want to talk too much about the title race. According to him, it is still too early to discuss.

"I have the same points as Quartararo. But it's too early to talk about the championship," said Rins, in an interview with MotoGP.

Currently, Rins is more concerned about the next race which will be held at his own cage, Spain. He wants to provide an interesting treat for his fans later.

The sixth series of the 2022 MotoGP race will be held at the Jerez Circuit, Spain, April 29 - May 1.

"We will go to Jerez, to enjoy the first race in Spain and see the fans come to the circuit," he said.

Alex Rins himself recorded poor results in the 2021 Spanish MotoGP race at the Jerez Circuit. He had to settle for finishing in 20th place last season.
