JAKARTA – Persija Jakarta officially appointed Thomas Doll as the new coach. The German coach will coach the Kemayoran Tigers for the next three years.

Persija announced their new coach on Saturday, 23 April. The former Borussia Dortmund coach will fill the position previously left by Sudirman.

"I am honored to be able to join one of the big teams in Indonesia. Of course I really want to be able to take Persija to a higher level. I can't wait to lead training in Jakarta," said the coach in an official statement.
