JAKARTA - The Indonesian U-19 national team received additional strength ahead of the trial match against NK Dulgopolje, Thursday, October 8. Ipswich Town defender Elkan Baggott has returned to join the team.

Baggott has been seen with the U-19 national team squad in Split, Croatia. He will attend the Garuda Muda training camp (TC) during the international break.

As is known, European competition is indeed in the middle of an international break. Several players were called by the national team to defend their respective countries, including Baggott who was called up by the Indonesian national team.

"Very happy and happy I can return to join the U-19 national team at the training camp in Croatia. I am in good condition and ready to undergo a training menu with my U-19 national team friends here," said Elkan Baggott.

The player himself has just made his debut with the Ipswich Town first team. He featured the full 90 minutes at the EFL Trophy against Gillingham on Tuesday, 6 October.

PSSI Technical Director Indra Sjafri said the presence of Elkan Baggot could add options for coach Shin Tae-yong to concoct the back line. Of course, the player's presence can further strengthen the U-19 national team's defense.

"We hope that Elkan Baggott can quickly adapt," said Indra Sjafri.

It is not yet known whether Elkan Baggott will immediately play when the U-19 national team faces Dugopolje. All decisions are in the hands of the coach, Shin Tae-yong.
