SEA Games Men's Volleyball Draw Results 2021: Indonesia Is In The Same Group With Vietnam And Malaysia

JAKARTA – The SEA Games Hanoi 2021 men's volleyball draw is out. The Indonesian national team is in the same group as the host team Vietnam.

For this year's SEA Games, seven countries will participate in volleyball. Indonesia and Vietnam are in Group A along with Malaysia and Myanmar.

Meanwhile, Group B is filled with the three remaining countries. They are Thailand, Philippines, and Cambodia.

The volleyball tournament at the 31st edition of the Southeast Asian Games will be held over nine days between 13 and 22 May 2022 in Quang Ninh, Vietnam.

The Indonesian men's volleyball national team is coming with their new head coach Jeff Jiang. The coach from China was appointed as the coach of the men's team after bringing debutant Bogor team LavAni to win the 2022 Proliga competition.

To face this year's SEA Games, PBVSI has called 14 names to take part in the training camp. They plan to leave for Vietnam between the 8th or 9th of May 2022.

Meanwhile, women's volleyball was only followed by five countries. Besides Indonesia, the other four participating countries are Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.

The women's volleyball national team has also gathered 12 players for the training camp after the Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali issued an announcement confirming that women's volleyball was included in the Indonesian contingent.
