Beat Myanmar 6-1, Indonesia To 2022 AFF Cup Futsal Final And Get Tickets To Asian Cup

JAKARTA – The Indonesian futsal national team has made it through to the final round of the 2022 AFF Cup. The final ticket was obtained after a 6-1 victory over Myanmar on Friday, March 8.

The match which took place at the Huamark Indoor Stadium was hot from the start. Myanmar and Indonesia immediately appeared aggressive. Attack counterattacked which resulted in several golden opportunities.

Indonesia got the first golden opportunity in the sixth minute. Dewa Rizky Amanda almost brought the Red and White team ahead if his shot didn't go wide of the target.

Myanmar then responded a minute after Nyein Min Soe went past the Indonesian defender and found space to shoot, but Muhammad Iksan's goal-bound Indonesia thwarted the golden opportunity.

The Indonesian futsal team then managed to lead 1-0 at halftime. Syauqi Saud managed to break into the opponent's goal after maximizing the rebound.

Myanmar immediately tried to attack at the start of the break to pursue a goal deficit. However, Indonesia was able to push back and double the advantage to 2-0 through the backheel action of striker Evan Soumilena.

Indonesia did not take long to add to the coffers of goals. Ardiansyah Runtuboy then recorded his name on the scoreboard for the third goal for the Red and White squad.

Runtuboy broke into the opponent's goal again in the 35th minute to take Indonesia away 4-0. Myanmar reacted by reducing the position to 4-1 through Hlang Min Tun's goal in the 37th minute.

However, Indonesia succeeded in adding two more goals after that to last for the final party. The last two goals for Evan and his friends were scored by Firman Ardiansyah and Guntur Sulistyo, respectively.

This result made Indonesia ensured that it qualified for the 2022 Futsal Asian Cup final. It should be noted that the AFF Cup tournament is part of the 2022 Asian Cup qualifiers which will take place in Kuwait from September 25 to October 20.

Well, the teams that get places one to three automatically qualify for the Asian Cup. With the final ticket in hand, Indonesia has at least sealed the second place in this Southeast Asian event.
