League 1 Competition Postponed, Arema FC Instead Getol Bringing Foreign Players

JAKARTA - Arema FC made a bold decision. The club nicknamed Singo Edan still brought in foreign players even though the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) decided to postpone the continuation of the League 1 competition.

The decision to postpone Liga 1 was taken by PSSI after not getting permission from the crowd from the police. The Indonesian National Police (Polri) assessed that the Covid-19 case was still high, so there were concerns about a new cluster.

However, PSSI's decision to postpone the competition did not stop Arema FC from bringing in Caio Ruan Lino de Freitas. This Brazilian player replaces Matias Malvino whose contract was not extended.

Apart from Caio Ruan, Arema is reportedly going to bring in other foreign players. The news circulating the player is Bruno Smith Nogueira Camargo. In fact, the player has given a signal that he will soon be diba in Malang.

This step is quite surprising considering the PSSI decision to postpone new competitions in a matter of days. However, Arema does need a supply of new players.

As is known, Arema has left four foreign players who have left. Apart from Malvino, Jonathan Bauman, On In-kyun and Elias Alderete also left.

Meanwhile, Caio Ruan revealed that the reason for choosing Arema was because of the extraordinary fanaticism of the supporters. He also said Arema had an extraordinary history in the world of football.

"A big team with good supporters," said Caio Ruan.

Unfortunately, the 25-year-old player must resist his desire to see the fanaticism of Arema supporters. The reason is, let alone seeing the supporters at the stadium, the match is not certain when it will be held.
