Arriving At Mandalika, Fabio Quartararo Buys 17 Thousand Bracelets Typical Lombok

JAKARTA – Fabio Quartararo made a big shopping spree when he arrived in Lombok. The reigning MotoGP champion immediately bought a rope bracelet typical of the region.

The French racer from the Yamaha team was seen showing off his shopping items via Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 15 morning.

"I've bought 17.935 bracelets," Quartararo wrote briefly to accompany the post.

In the video, Quartararo is seen joking with several children around him. He also seemed to be handing the bracelets he bought to several small children who were nearby.

However, the two small children who were sitting looked embarrassed to miss this golden opportunity. They shook their heads rejecting the gift from the world champion.

Quartararo will appear at the Mandalika MotoGP on March 20. This is the second series race in the MotoGP calendar for the 2022 season after Qatar which took place on March 6.

Currently, most of the riders have started arriving in Indonesia. A total of 20 riders from MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, will parade in Jakarta before going to Lombok.

Quartararo was not on the list so he headed straight for Mandalika.

After getting unsatisfactory results in the first series, Quartararo will aim for a positive result in Mandalika later. While in Qatar he finished ninth, +10.543 seconds adrift of Enea Bastianini in first.
