Abramovich Can't Pay The Rent Of The Land Where His Luxury House Was Built To Queen Elizabeth, Its Value Is IDR 186.6 Million Per Year

JAKARTA - Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reported to be unable to pay Queen Elizabeth's £10,000 rent on the land on which his house was built.

The Russian billionaire was heavily sanctioned by the British government last week after all of his assets, including the Chelsea football club, were frozen. This was done by Britain because Abramovich was allegedly close to President Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin.

But problems persist as he is allegedly unable to pay the rent for the Queen's estate where her £107 million home is located.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Monday, March 14, because of this, Abramovich risks losing another sizable asset on British soil.

The 15-room Abramovich London home is within walking distance of Kensington Palace, home to Prince William.

The billionaire is the owner of a stunning mega-mansion, but owes the Queen £10,000 per year under a 125-year lease because the land belongs to the Crown Estate.

The amount is reported to be increasing to 160,000 pounds (Rp 2.98 billion) per year in the future.
