MotoGP Mandalika: Crews And Racers Start Coming To Lombok, Is There Anyone?

LOMBOK - The 2022 MotoGP race will continue at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, March 18-20. The whole team has already started to prepare for the race.

Reported from Antara, a number of crew and MotoGP racers have arrived at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM) Lombok, NTB, Sunday, March 13, evening WITA. There are also riders from the Moto3 and Moto2 classes.

The head of the NTB Tourism Office, Yusron Hadi, said 64 people had arrived in Lombok. This is the first stage of the group from a total of nine scheduled flights that will arrive in Lombok.

"They arrived in Lombok at 21.50 WITA using the Garuda Indonesia airline," he said when contacted, as quoted by Antara.

"So the arrival of the crew and racers until March 16, 2022 after the parade in Jakarta," said Yusron Hadi.

Arriving at the airport, the officials and racers were immediately greeted with the traditional arts of the Sasak, Lombok, Gendang Beleq and woven shawls and handkerchiefs.

Asked who the racers who came in this first stage were, Yusron admitted that he did not recognize one by one. However, said Yusron, there is a female racer competing in Moto3, namely Ana Carrasco.

"We saw earlier that there was a female Moto3 racer who also arrived at the airport," he said.

Meanwhile, Lombok Airport Public Relations Officer, Arif Hariyanto, said the officials and racers arrived at the airport using an additional Garuda Indonesia flight with flight number GA 4320.

According to him, the planned arrival of charter flights in March in the context of MotoGP at Lombok Airport is scheduled from March 13 to March 21. It consists of nine arrival flights from March 13 to March 16 and return flights from March 20 to 21, 2022.

"For nine scheduled arrivals and have been realized last night," he said.
