JAKARTA – The Mandalika Circuit remains packed with agendas after this month's 2022 MotoGP Grand Prix. One of them is World Superbike which will be back in November.

Deputy Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Cahyadi Wanda said that the MotoGP 2022 Mandalika Grand Prix was the biggest event of the four agendas on their calendar.

One of the agendas that have been carried out is the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test which took place on 11-13 February.

"Then later in October there will be a Gp Series test and then in November there will be another World Superbike," said Cahyadi after the launch of the Mandalika GP Series sponsorship event, at Epiwalk, Kuningan, on Tuesday, March 8.

The Mandalika Circuit previously held the World Superbike (WSBK) at the end of November last year. In the latest calendar, WSBK will return to Mandalika on 11-13 November 2022.

This year, the WSBK will be held in 13 series, including in Indonesia. The mass-produced world motorcycle racing championship will kick off at MotorLand Aragon, scheduled for April 8-10.

Cahyadi explained that apart from these events, his party also had other agendas on a national scale. The schedule of these events will be announced periodically.

"Besides that, there will also be several national events with the Indonesian Motor Association. So there will be several other events whose calendars have not yet been announced. We will announce it periodically because at this time our focus is still on the Mandalika GP," he said.

The Mandalika Circuit is currently in the process of being re-paved after the post-test evaluation last season. The repair process was carried out in accordance with the recommendations of Dorna Sport and the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM).

The MotoGP event at Mandalika will take place on March 18-20. Tickets for the third day of the Indonesian series have already been sold out, except for the first and second days which have free practice and qualification agendas.
