PSBB Jakarta Forces Persija To Flee To Depok

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan issued a strict Large-Scale Social Implementation (PSBB) policy in his area. The policy, which took effect from Monday, September 14, forced Persija Jakarta to move the training ground.

In order to comply with the Jakarta PSBB, the management of the Kemayoran Tigers chose to continue the team's preparations for the PSSN field, Depok, West Java. Exercises are still held behind closed doors according to health protocols.

Persija President Mohamad Prapanca said the Jakarta PSBB policy should not prevent the team from finalizing preparations. The reason is, the League 1 competition will start in the near future, to be precise in early October.

"After coordinating with the coach team, this afternoon Persija trained in the PSSN field, Depok while still prioritizing health procedures," said Prapanca.

"We ask for understanding from the whole, this exercise is still closed from the audience and the media because conditions are not yet possible," he continued.

Coach Sudirman did not question the move to the training venue. The man who replaced Sergio Farias assessed that the team's preparations were not disturbed even though the training ground was shifted to Depok.

"We are still running the program that has been set," he said.

Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta has scheduled a trial match ahead of the 2020 League 1 continuation. The Kemayoran Tigers will face Tira Persikabo, Tuesday tomorrow. This match was held closed.

According to Prapanca, this trial was very important for the team to measure all aspects. The opponents you are facing are also in League 1 so that all players can use them to give their best.
